
OAKLAND, CA — Two people were wounded in shootings in Oakland on Wednesday, one in the Fremont neighborhood in the morning and the other later in the day in the Uptown area, police said.
The shooting in the Uptown area happened at about 7:25 p.m. in the 400 block of 25th Street near Broadway, according to police.
The victim was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the hip, police said.

The earlier shooting was reported in the 1600 block of 45th Avenue at 11:15 a.m., police said.
A male victim suffered two gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police did not release any information about possible suspects or motives in either shooting.
