OAKLAND – The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office announces charges have been filed in the attempted murder involving a former Oakland Police captain, Ersie Joyner.
On October 21, 2021, Joyner was at the Chevron gas station located at 17th and Castro Street in Oakland. As he was pumping gas, a total of three suspects approached him to rob him.
