On August 10, 2021, a jury found defendant Sean Jetter, 58, guilty of 12 counts including aggravated sexual assault of a child, sodomy of a child under 10 years old and oral copulation of a child under 10 years old.

The defendant met John Doe’s mother on a dating website. Doe was the youngest of his siblings, which ranged in age from 4 years old to 13 years old. John Doe’s mother and the defendant were married within a year, where he became the step-father to Doe and his siblings. The entire family then moved into the defendant’s home in Hayward.
