Cops Return Stolen Bike To Owner: Piedmont
Automatic license plate readers alerted police to a stolen vehicle with the bike inside.
PIEDMONT, CA — A very happy man has his bike back, thanks to the Piedmont Police Department.
The department's automatic license plate readers alerted officers about a stolen vehicle as it entered town on Wednesday. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle turned up other stolen items, including this bike. Officer Castillo tracked down the owner who gladly picked it up Friday morning.
