Free Drop-In English Practice: Now at BANANAS!
Stop by BANANAS' Oakland office to practice reading, speaking, and hearing English at a free tutoring session!
Come to BANANAS for drop-in tutoring! Parents and child care providers, you’re invited to stop by to practice your English language skills. Every Monday through Thursday from 1:30 to 4pm a volunteer tutor will be on hand to meet with you and use English as you would in a child care program. To practice, we’ll read picture books, sing songs, play games, go for walks, and have conversations to give you a chance to speak, read, and hear English. This is a free service that doesn’t require registration or long-term commitment. Just drop in when you have time and build your confidence as an English speaker. Feel free to bring your baby along too!
