Havens Community Service Crew Assembles Lanyards to Help BACT

The Havens Community Service Crew held their monthly after-school activity on October 6th, benefitting Bay Area Children’s Theater (BACT). While listening to the Frog and Toad soundtrack playing in the background, students assembled lanyards for BACT’S upcoming classes in its education department.
Like in a factory production line, the kids attached plastic sleeves to lanyards, then stuffed them with name cards. Participants in BACT classes use the lanyards to get a discount on BACT’s professional productions and to garner them treats at the shows. For their efforts, Havens Crew kids earned lanyards of their own!
Almost 20 students assembled, organized and packed up 700 lanyards. The Children’s Theater staff commented that had they known how fast and efficient the kids would be, they would have brought more lanyards to complete! Many thanks to the parents and adults who came to work alongside the kids, and to the Havens Community Service Crew for another job well done!
