Oakland Hills Crash Leaves 1 Dead
The crash happened Friday afternoon near Redwood Heights Elementary School

OAKLAND, CA — One person died in a fatal crash Friday afternoon in Oakland, police said.
Someone called police at 2:33 p.m. to report the crash at 39th and Aliso avenues near Redwood Heights Elementary School.
Police said when officers arrived they found a vehicle had left the road and hit a retaining wall.

The victim died at the scene. Police said no students, teachers or staff were injured.
