Piedmont Public Safety Open House Canceled
Two fire crews are in the North Bay helping to fight fires, while Piedmont Police officers are helping patrol efforts.

PIEDMONT, CA — The Piedmont Fire Department has two crews in the North Bay assisting firefighting effots. In addition, the Piedmont Police Department has sent officers to assist with policing in affected areas.
As a result, the City of Piedmont has cancelled the Public Safety Open House planned for Saturday.
“While we are helping our neighbors to the north through mutual aid, we need to ensure that adequate resources are available to respond to emergencies in Piedmont,” said Fire Chief Bud McLaren. “Pulling firefighters off of regular duty to staff the Public Safety Open House, as would be required, is not the prudent thing to do.”
