Almost 20 students gathered after school on the last Tuesday of March to help make comfy quilts for teen patients at Children’s Hospital Oakland. Led by Havens Community Service Crew core member and Havens mom, Christina Wagg, the students broke into groups to work on very large pieces of decorated material that needed to be cut and knotted all along the edges. The students’ fast fingers and endless enthusiasm created several quilts sporting the A’s, Raiders, and other cool prints.
