Shooting Death Reported Near 2 Oakland Schools
The shooting happened during school hours close to elementary and middle schools.
OAKLAND, CA — A male victim was shot to death early Wednesday afternoon in Oakland, police said today.
The shooting occurred at 1:16 p.m. in the 900 block of 16th Street, about one block from West Oakland Middle School and Lafayette Elementary School.
The victim died at the scene. Police said they do not have any suspects.
