Violent Night In Oakland: 2 Dead, 2 Injured

Three people were shot and one person was stabbed. Police have not made any arrests.

OAKLAND, CA — Two people are dead and two others are injured after overnight shootings and a stabbing across Oakland, police said Tuesday.

Police responded at 11:18 p.m. Monday to a call of a man who had been shot in the 9000 block of Hillside Street. Emergency responders found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound and took him to a hospital for treatment.

About five minutes later, police responded to reports of gunshots in the 1100 block of 24th Street.

Officers found two Oakland residents, a man and woman, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital and the woman was
listed in stable condition.

Officers also responded to a call regarding a stabbing at 12:17 a.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Courtland Avenue. They found a man suffering from stab wounds. First responders treated the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of the two people who died in the separate shooting and stabbing have not been released as of Tuesday morning.

Police did not immediately provide any suspect information in any of the cases.
