Blooming Lilacs: Photo Of The Day

HERCULES, CA — A flower's scent can transport us to another time and place. Glenna Phillips has this touching story about her lilacs, "Our Lilac Bush is in bloom! It reminds me of my grandparents' home. They had a large lilac bush in front of their house that is there today! The scent was intoxicating to me as a child...and still is:-) I planted my bush many years ago in remembrance of them...and rejoice when it blooms! Spring is here...and they live on in my garden!"
