In my previous post, I mentioned how I was a baseball fan, specifically a San Francisco Giants fan. And, even though I bleed Orange & Black, I still consider myself a supporter of all Bay Area sports teams. In this post, I’m going to throw my sports team loyalties aside and share with you an opportunity that appeals to everyone, even those of you who know nothing about sports...
Now, everyone loves a good bargain, am I right? Well, the good people in the Oakland Athletics organization are offering just that. With BART $2 Wednesdays, tickets to an Oakland A’s Wednesday home game are only $2, all season long!
A’s fans will be the first ones to tell you (even though it’s hard to admit) that their team is having a hard time attracting people to their ballpark. Because of this, their team does what it can, year in and year out, to make attending a game at the Coliseum as worthwhile as possible. This season, it’s $2 tickets for their Wednesday home games.

If you love being outdoors, the smell of garlic fries and being around enthusiastic people, this promotion is perfect for you. It doesn’t even matter what team you like or if you even know anything about baseball. You have a chance to gather your loved ones and do something fun...without worrying if everyone can afford it. Plus, with the pairing of BART as your means of transportation, you are able to get this entire experience for under $8.
A one-way trip from El Cerrito Del Norte to Coliseum/Oakland Airport costs $2.90; that’s a round trip of $5.80. With your ticket to the game, and a round trip BART ride, you can expect to spend as little as $7.80 per person. (If you are really on a tight budget, let me suggest packing food from home and have a little picnic at your seats.)
