Coroner's Office Identifies Man Who Died After Rear-Ending Car, Crashing into Wall in Pinole
The Sebastopol man was transported with life-threatening injuries to the hospital, where he died a few hours later, police said.

The Contra Costa County coroner’s office today identified a man who died after his vehicle rear-ended a car and then crashed into a cinder block retaining wall in Pinole Thursday morning. Andrew Watt, 39, of Sebastopol died after suffering what witnesses described as a medical emergency, according to police.

Officers responded at 8:30 a.m. to 1550 Fitzgerald Drive on a report of a traffic collision and found two cars at the scene, police said. The man’s full-size passenger van rear-ended a silver sedan and then crashed into a cinder block retaining wall, according to police. Watt was transported with life-threatening injuries to the hospital, where he died a few hours later, police said.
