El Sobrante Man Among Pair Arrested for Alleged Home Invasion

The two are accused of assaulting a person and firing a gun in the Portola District incident.

SAN FRANCISCO – Officers from San Francisco's gang task force arrested two men last week whom they suspect of a Portola District home invasion, during which they allegedly assaulted a resident and fired a gun at him.

Police arrested 33-year-old Jeremy Anthony Flores in Antioch and Ivan Gonzalez, 38, in El Sobrante on the morning of March 2.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, burglary, false imprisonment and conspiracy.

Police say that on Feb. 26 at about 1:30 a.m., the pair forced their way into the home of two men in the 1000 block of Bowdoin Street in San Francisco's Portola District.

One of the suspects hit one of the victims in the head with a gun and the other suspect began punching him.

When the home's other resident went to see what was going on, the first suspect pointed a gun at him and told him to sit in the hallway while the two suspects continued beating his roommate.

When the pair fled the home on foot, the first victim went to the front door and was shot at twice by one of the suspects.
