Take your little ones or send your teenaged ones to these events this Fourth of July weekend.

Where/When: Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton; Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Why Go: The largest county fair in the area has tons of children’s and adult's entertainment, such as music, carnival rides, all kinds of food, a petting zoo and much more.

Pricing: Kids 12 and under free on Fridays; otherwise between $4-$10 admission

2. Free Admission at Chabot Space & Science Center

 Where/When: , 10000 Skyline Blvd., Oakland; Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Why Go: Explore the interactive exhibits, shows and more. Museums on Us: Free admission for Bank of America cardholders on the first full weekend of every month.

Where/When: Playland-Not-at-the-Beach, El Cerrito; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend by honoring the spirit of America. The special events of “The Spirit of America” are in addition to Playland's regular attractions.

Pricing: $10 for children and senior;  $15 general admission

Where/When: , 950 Pomona Ave., El Cerrito; Monday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Why Go: The festival promises family fun and entertainment for all ages. Come enjoy carnival games and rides, face painting, bounce houses, food booths, an art show

Where/When: Lawrence Hall of Science, Berkeley; daily 10 a.m.—5 p.m.

Why Go: Explore their world like never before in Dinosaurs Unearthed. Scientists, engineers, and artists designed these creatures to be as lifelike as possible. The gigantic animals open their jaws, blink their eyes, move their limbs … and more. You will walk among roaring, stomping, realistic-looking animatronic  dinosaurs, such as the  Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Apatosaurus and many more.
