• Pinole drunk driver's murder conviction stands on appeal this time around (eastbaytimes.com) — A long-running DUI case tied to a deadly crash in Pinole has effectively ended after an appeals court upheld the driver's second murder conviction. The ruling leaves in place a 15‑years‑to‑life sentence stemming from the 2016 Interstate 80 collision that killed a man stopped near Pinole.
