Pinole Businesses Boarded Up: Protest Peaceful
A large crowd marched and listened to speakers.
PINOLE, CA — A George Floyd Solidarity Protest in Pinole Thursday was peaceful.
It started at 4 p.m. in Fernandez Park, and marchers went from the park to City Hall.
Businesses had been boarded up in advance over the fear of possible looting, following violence that has occurred in other East Bay communities.

The protesters are demanding change in America after a black man, George Floyd, died while in police custody on Memorial Day in Minneapolis. All four officers involved in the incident have been charged.
