Reminder: Food Bank Fundraiser Is Coming Up On Aug. 9

There are only a few days left to purchase their tickets for Uncorked, the Aug. 9 fundraiser to benefit the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.

The 2nd Annual Uncorked will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at GV Cellars, located at 1635 Mason Road in Fairfield.

Tickets will not be sold at the door. Friday, Aug. 7 is the last day to purchase at:foodbankccs.org/uncorked.

How does Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah sound paired with smoked brisket tacos with tomatoes and chipotle guacamole? If you prefer white wine, you won’t want to miss out on the Sauvignon Blanc paired with roasted grapes with ricotta and thyme on grilled bread.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, perhaps you’ll want to try the Harvest Dolcetto paired with churros featuring salted caramel and dark chocolate with cherries truffles. That is just a sample of what you can treat your taste buds to at Uncorked, the Food Bank’s 2nd annual wine-tasting event.

Tickets are $40 each and include wine, food, live music and incredible scenic views . It will be a great day to remember and you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that your entertainment dollars are going towards such a worthy cause.
