The Great Escape: Hoist a Mug at Elevation 66

Well, Labor Day Weekend is almost here. School has started, so that means parents are probably suffering battle fatigue from back-to-school shopping, class lists, registration and filling out forms with the same information, over and over.

Enter Elevation 66. on Thursday, it is fitting it should be a brewpub.

Evolution 66 will serve its own ales to start, along with some some guest names like Sudwerk Hefeweizen and Black Diamond Belgian Blonde, according to its head brewer, David J. Goodstal .

The brewpub will initially make only ales: Golden Gate Ale, East Bay IPA, Contra Costa Red and Esther’s Stout, Goodstal said.

With opening day coming up, head to the Evolution 66 for a break. A few Hefeweizens should take your mind off the 8.000 things you have to do. By tomorrow.
