Two East Bay Cities Ranked Among Best Towns to Raise a Family in California

The website niche.com has determined that San Ramon is the #1 town in which to raise a family in California. Pleasanton ranked #5. Ranked on the list are the top 100 towns in which to raise a family in the Golden State.

The sampling excludes suburbs and cities with more than 100,000 residents, and is based on school ratings, crime rates, age demographics, and access to affordable housing and childcare.

According to the website, a high ranking on the list indicates a town that attracts young families with good schools and a safe community. In the Bay Area, South San Francisco, Walnut Creek, San Rafael, Palo Alto, Redwood City and Cupertino also made the top 10 Best Towns to Raise a Family in California. View the entire list here.

Niche.com was founded in 2002 by Carnegie Mellon students and provides rankings and statistics on U.S. neighborhoods, schools, and colleges.
