Who Do You Want To See On Your 100th Birthday?
Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, of course! Happy 100 years to Trudy West of the East Bay!

From Liam Collopy:
For her 100th birthday, all Concord centurion Trudy West wanted was to see Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga at the Concord Pavilion on May 28.
That wish came true thanks to an organization called Caring Hands, a program at John Muir Health in Walnut Creek that matches volunteers with people over 60 years old who may be frail, isolated, or disabled.

Trudy attended the May 28 concert along with volunteer/friend, Clayton resident Heather Kenward.
Now in its 16th year, Caring Hands volunteers provide life-enhancing services such as friendly visits and companionship; transportation and escorts; help with shopping and errands; giving a family caregiver a break; reading and letter writing; minor home repairs; and light yard work; even attending a Lady Gaga-Tony Bennett concert. The bond that develops between the seniors and volunteer is often lifelong.
