• Iconic Sunsets at Pismo Airstream scrapped (ksby.com) — Pismo Beach officials have confirmed that the city-owned "Sunsets at Pismo" Airstream on the pier has been scrapped because of liability concerns tied to its former restaurant use. The move follows last year's zoning decision that forced the restaurant's closure, though two other Airstreams on the pier still operate as a visitor center and gift shop.
   

• The Surfing for Hope Foundation Announces 15th Annual Longboard Classic Benefit Weekend in Pismo Beach (slochamber.org) — Pismo Beach will host the Surfing for Hope Foundation's 15th Annual Longboard Classic Benefit Weekend from October 9–11, bringing pro longboard competition, a gala, health fair, and VW show to town.
