On April 25th, 2026, come on down to Big Break Regional Shoreline and check out the amateur radio operators (affectionately know as ham radio operators) from 8AM to 2PM and learn about the importance of amateur radio in your community and discover the fun you can have talking to people the world over without any dependency on infrastructure.
We will have several amateur radio operators there calling out over the airwaves in hopes of contacting someone on another radio far away - could be Texas or maybe Nova Scotia, Australia or Nevada. Who knows, but come down and find out, listen to the conversations, and, if you really want to know what it's like, we can hand the microphone to YOU and you can talk to someone far, far away.
This event is a function of the Delta Amateur Radio Club (Delta ARC) and is open to anyone and everyone who comes out to Big Break.
