Carlton Senior Living Raising Funds and Awareness for Alzheimer's Walk

On Saturday, October 17, associates from Carlton Senior Living will take to the streets at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek for the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The Carlton Senior Living team is gathering support for Alzheimer’s research through multiple fundraising efforts, including the team’s online donation page on the Alzheimer’s Association website, http://act.alz.org/goto/PoetsCorner, a donation box at local Carlton Senior Living communities and “Casual for a Cause,” a fundraiser that gives employees of the community the opportunity every day through October to donate a dollar to the cause in exchange for dressing casually for the day.

Anyone who contributes to the donation box at the community will receive an awareness bracelet and can sign a purple flower that showcases their contribution. Employees who participate in the Casual for a Cause fundraiser are given a lapel sticker to prompt conversations about the event with residents, family, friends and guests.

Terri Adams-Scott from Carlton Senior Living’s dedicated memory care community in Pleasant Hill is captain of the company team.

“We are still planning new fundraisers, so there will be plenty of options for anyone who wants to help support our management, staff, caregivers, families and residents in this walk,” she said. Contributors can contact Adams-Scott directly at (925) 287-8750.
