A victim was robbed at gunpoint in a Pleasanton neighborhood last week, police say. Many other burglaries have been reported recently.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police arrested two suspects accused of armed robbery in a Pleasanton neighborhood, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
On Monday, Jan. 30, police received a report of two people in ski masks pointing a gun at a victim and demanding money. The victim surrendered more than $1000, laptops, and other valuables, according to police. Patch is awaiting further information on the exact location of the robbery.
Pleasanton patrol officers and detectives gathered evidence, such as surveillance video that showed the suspects following the victim into Pleasanton after making a cash withdrawal from a bank in Antioch. Police sent out an alert to local authorities to keep an eye out for the car. Within hours, the car was located in Antioch, and suspects were detained on the spot. They were positively identified by the victim, and taken to Santa Rita Jail. Patch is awaiting information on the suspects’ identities.

The robbery occurred on the same day that the Press Cafe, a popular artisan breakfast and lunch eatery on Santa Rita Road, was reportedly broken into. Owner Rebekah Culp told Pleasanton Weekly that she and her husband found that their front glass door had been smashed and their cash registers and 150-pound safe were missing.
Culp said their security cameras stopped working that day, and Pleasanton Police Department spokesperson Teri Yan told The Weekly that as of Sunday, there are no suspects in that case.
