4H Rabbit Stolen From Alameda County Fair Found Safe
Buster will be reunited with his owners, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

PLEASANTON, CA — A 4H rabbit stolen from its exhibit at the Alameda County Fair last month has been returned, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said. Buster the Bunny was taken during the fair in June after someone bent his cage open in order to remove him. NBC Bay Area reported that his owner was "heartbroken."
The sheriff’s office investigated the theft and said "a neutral third party was able to successfully negotiate his safe return." Buster will be reunited with his owners, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. No other information about the case is available.
The theft prompted fair officials to step up security in the small animal exhibit area. Although it is rare, animal thefts have happened during the past fairs. In 2016, another 4H rabbit was stolen from its cage.
