Alameda County Fair 2016: 5 New Things You Can't Miss

Watch to learn more about discounts, concert performers, freaky fair food and 4th of July.

Pleasanton, CA— Are you ready for 18 fun-filled days at the annual Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton? The fair opens on June 15 and runs through July 4. 

This year’s newest attractions include the Red, White & Brew Fest, which is held at the Budweiser Grandstand, and features 30 craft breweries. Tomas Garcilazo, the top trick roper in the world, will perform at the fair this season. The Chinese Acrobats of Hebei have joined as part of the incredible fair attractions and the "Elvis Burger" is this season's must-try fair food item. Enjoy motocross, monster trucks and demolition derby in the newly expanded action sports arena.

The popular free concert series includes performances by Smash Mouth, LeAnn Rimes and Tower of Power.

2016 Alameda County Fair Information:

  • The fair opens on June 15 and runs through July 4.
  • Hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday each week, plus Monday, July 4 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
  • Carnival Hours: Tues -Thurs, 12 p.m. to closing, Fri-Sun, 11 a.m. to closing
  • Horse Racing: June 16 - 19, June 23 --26, and July 1 - 4
  • Big O Tires FREE Concerts: 8 p.m. – 9:15 p.m., nightly. Special effects fireworks show with video celebrating local youth immediately following concerts.
  • Monday, July 4: Blues Festival, 1-9 p.m.
  • Fireworks Spectacular featuring Oakland East Bay Symphony, 9:30 p.m., Budweiser Grandstand
