Two days after edging out East Sacramento 4-1 in nine innings, the Tri-Valley 13 year-old Babe Ruth All Stars wanted to show they were the clear-cut best team in Northern California.

After a 19-7 five-inning blowout of Mountain View on Thursday in Antioch, there wasn't any question that it was the top team in NorCal.

"We just raked the ball. We just kept coming," said Tri-Valley manager Ken Franco.

Tri-Valley leadoff hitter Trent Kravitz pounded the first pitch of the game to deep right-center for a double, and did the same in the second. Tyler Lonestar added a single after Kravitz's second-inning double and scored three runs, and pitched the fifth inning to close out the game for Tri-Valley.

"If we got past this game we're in Arizona. We've been working for this game the whole summer," Kravitz said. "I like to be aggressive a lot. I have to thank my team and coaches for helping me be a better hitter."

The first and second hitters in the lineup — Kravitz and Lonestar — reached base eight times and scored five runs.

"In three of the four games he's (Kravitz) started the game with a base hit or a double, and Tyler Lonestar followed it up with a base hit or double," Franco said. "Those guys are the top of the line, they're our catalysts."

Franco subbed in a handful of players with his team up 9-5, and they continued putting the bat on the ball.

"I put in the subs and we got three doubles off five subs," said Franco. "They got an opportunity and they took advantage. We're a very deep team and we're looking forward to playing in Arizona. There will be some quality teams there."

After the dust settled, Tri-Valley had pulled away to a 19-5 lead, and the ten-run rule was enforced after the top of the fifth.
