Fellow employees said Linda Reynolds was known for her calm demeanor during emergencies. She will return at the department's historian.

PLEASANTON, CA — After more than three decades of service with the Pleasanton police department, dispatcher Linda Reynolds has retired. Reynolds took her last call on Oct. 4. Hired in 1982, Reynolds started as police assistant, working her way to dispatcher and was eventually promoted to supervisor.

Police officials said the PBX switchboard Reynolds used to take calls can be seen at the Museum on Main as part of the Pleasanton History Gallery.

“Throughout her career Linda has been deeply invested in the organization and has continued to be involved in making this a great place to work,” Pleasanton Police Captain Craig Eicher said. “While I was the POA President back in the 90s, Linda was very involved in helping bring our families together, taking on a significant role in coordinating the POA gatherings picnics and parties including community events such as the giving tree. She has put her mark on the organization through organizational branding and has been the unofficial department historian for years.”
