Calling all Pleasanton High School Students!

Pleasanton North Rotary will hold its annual Youth Speech Contest on Friday January 6th at Handles Gastropub in Pleasanton. Sign up today!

Pleasanton North Rotary will hold its annual Youth Speech Contest on Friday January 6th, 2017 at Handles Gastropub in Pleasanton at 12:15pm.


The Speech Contest is open to all high school students, and the speech must be between 4-5 minutes in length. There are cash awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place participants.


High school students are invited to get in touch with PNR Youth Services Chair Mark Linsky (see below), or visit the Pleasanton North Rotary website (http://www.pnr-rotary.org) for more details.

Participating students may choose any topic of interest, however all speeches must address the 2016-2017 theme “Rotary Serving Humanity,” and include a reference to at least one principle of The Rotary 4-Way Test (see flyer). Use of this theme and the four way test in the speech should be clear and unmistakable.
