PLEASANTON, CA —Authorities on Sunday advised Alameda County residents to stay at home due to civil unrest and the high level of police activity reported across the county.

"Credible threats" of looting led officers to close all five entrances of the Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton. Officers in nearby Dublin and Livermore beefed up patrols in anticipation of the looters.

"Currently, there are multiple reports of large, mobile groups of rioters and looters traveling throughout the East Bay area," county officials said.
