The Pleasanton Public Library is hosting 2 workshops on Wednesday, with author Annie Fox who writes a popular book series for young people that deal with bullying, family, stress and self-esteem.
The first workshop is called Real Friends vs. The Other Kind, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
At 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Fox will provide a parent-focused workshop that will talk about how to tune in to kids' emotional and psychological development. The workshop will explore the academic and social issues that children face today and about the art of listening so that parent and teens can have better communication. This parent workshop is geared for parents with kids in the 5th grade to 12 grade.
