Father's Day Activities in Pleasanton

Trying to come up with some fun Father's Day activities? Here is a Pleasanton Patch round-up of what's going on this weekend.

Several eateries are having Father's Day specials during the weekend. Take your Dad out for a hearty meal at the following places.

• Eddie Papa's is featuring an "All American BBQ" foods in addition to their regular menus for Dad's Big Day. The restaurant is offering Texas Brisket, Tri Tip and their usual pulled pork sandwiches.  Reservations are strongly recommended.
• A Father's Day Beer Buffet Brunch is also available at the Blue Agave Club between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Adults are $28 and children are $13. Reservations are recommended.
• Faz is featuring a Father's Day Brunch from 10:30 to 3:30 p.m., featuring freshly squeezed juices, mesquite BBQ and  seafoods. Reservations are also recommended. 
• Elliston Vineyards in Sunol will be having a special Father's Day BBQ from noon to 3 p.m. Adults are $35 and children are $12.
• For the dads who aren't afraid of getting their hands dirty to make a meal, Pans On Fire is holding a special lunch preparation activity for fathers and their children. For $60, participants will make pulled pork sandwiches and red velvet cupcakes from scratch.

If dad is the active type, try the following:

• This Sunday is Pleasanton's Rotary Club annual Fathers Day Spirit Run event. Different races will be going on throughout the morning starting at Downtown Pleasanton. More than 1000 people are expected to participate in the 10K, 5K and Kid's Challenge run.
• The Callipe Preserve Golf  Course is having special discounts for Father's day. There may still be openings for tee time and steak dinner for $100 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Special gift cards are also for sale for a package that includes the green fee, cart and golf balls. .
• Take Dad for a hike through Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park's many trails or have a picnic in one of Pleasanton's many parks.
