Fitness Fundraiser Will Benefit Cancer-Stricken Police Officer

The event, hosted by Omni Fight Club, will be held at the Pleasanton, Livermore and Walnut Creek locations Sunday.

PLEASANTON, CA — In support of Pleasanton police officer Kyle Henricksen's fight against cancer, the Omni Fight Club is hosting a fitness fundraiser. The event will be held on Jan. 13 at the Pleasanton, Livermore and Walnut Creek locations.

Workouts will start at 9 a.m. Sunday. Classes are $10 and the proceeds will be given to Henricksen's family. Refreshments for purchase will be served at 11 a.m.

Henricksen, 35, recently was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer which has metastasized to his stomach lining. He is undergoing treatment at Stanford, which will not be covered by their family's Kaiser Permanente insurance.

Henricksen and his wife, Jenn, have two young children and are raising their niece, whose father died several years ago due to a heart condition.
