Foothill's Defazio accepts baseball scholarship from Oregon State
Previous Cal-commit is staying in the Pac-10
Brandon Defazio is still headed to the Pac-10 Conference.
The Foothill High shortstop, who previously committed to Cal, has accepted an offer to play for Oregon State.
"When went down to Oregon I fell in love with the coaching staff, the facilities the whole enironment down there," Defazio said. "It made my decision pretty easy."

Defazio also considered Sacramento State, UC Davis and Long Beach State before settling on the Beavers.
Oregon State was the fifth team in NCAA history to win back-to-back national titles in 2006 and 2007.

"I want to play baseball," Defazio said. "I feel like that'll be the best place to go to get a good baseball education and succeed on the field."
Defazio is hitting .333 (16 for 48) on the year for the Falcons, which sit atop the East Bay Athletic League standings. He'll join teammate Sean Mannion in Corvallis, Oreg., who is headed there to play quarterback on the football team.
