Large Swim Meet Comes to Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center
The meet is scheduled for March 14 and 15.

The City of Pleasanton’s Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center will be the host site for a large swim meet in the coming weeks. The Pleasanton Seahawks will host the 2-day short course Senior II meet that begins on Saturday, March 14 and continues through Sunday, March 15.
During this period, the aquatic facility will be closed to all public programs, including lap swim. The meet, comprised of swimmers ages 10 to 18, is expected to draw about 500 swimmers. They will begin to arrive each morning by 7:00 a.m. with competition beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing to approximately 3:00 p.m.

The City of Pleasanton has been working closely with the Pleasanton Seahawks to develop plans for a successful competition and reduced impact on the neighborhoods surrounding the Aquatic Center, located at 4455 Black Avenue near Santa Rita Road.
Participants have been encouraged to carpool when possible and obey traffic laws to help reduce the impacts on the surrounding neighborhoods. Overflow parking has been reserved on Saturday and Sunday at Gingerbread Preschool, Alisal Elementary School, and Amador Valley High School.
