Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Welcomes New Fire Chief
Ruben Torres took on his role as the head of the fire department effective Feb 17.

Ruben Torres was welcomed as the new Fire Chief of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department this week during a pinning ceremony held at fire station one in Pleasanton.
Torres is the fourth LPFD Fire Chief since joint powers agreement between the two cities.

According to a statement previously released by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, Torres brings 29 years of fire service experience to the position, including nine years at his most recent post, as Fire Chief and senior command for the City of San Jose Fire Department.
