Local Kids Take On Mutton Bustin at the Fair

This year, the Alameda County Fair added to its list of attractions and activities, Mutton Bustin, where kids under six get to ride a galloping sheep for about six seconds.

Winners at each show get "gold medals" and are invited back to the last day of the fair to compete in a championships round. Whoever captures that prize can go to this year's Big Fresno Fair and compete with winners from 17 other locations to earn $5,000 in savings bond.

Tommy Giodone, president of Tommy G productions, said mutton bustin' is "good clean fun" and helps kids learn more about animals.
