Man Arrested After Throwing Rocks & Bricks At Cars, Businesses In Pleasanton: Police
Police said a man with several prior police run-ins damaged at least four cars on Santa Rita Road.
PLEASANTON, CA âA man was arrested for allegedly throwing rocks and bricks at various businesses and a passing car in Pleasanton, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
On Jan. 14, police were dispatched to 1803 Santa Rita Road, near the intersection of Valley Avenue, to reports of a suspect throwing rocks and bricks, according to PPD Lt. Nicholas Albert.
Albert said that officers observed the suspect "actively throwing rocks" at passing vehicles, and a total of four vehicles were reported as damaged.

The suspect, whom Albert said has had "numerous" prior contacts with the police department, was detained and arrested on charges of felony vandalism and resisting arrest and booked at Santa Rita Jail.
Police are not releasing the suspect's name because mental health is believed to be a contributing factor in the case, Albert said.
