Murder Charge Upheld Against Man Accused in Fatal Pier 14 Shooting
Former Pleasanton resident Kate Steinle was fatally shot on July 1 while walking with family members in broad daylight.

Undocumented immigrant Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez remains in custody and still faces a second-degree murder charge after San Francisco Superior Court Judge James P. Collins refused to dismiss the charge earlier this month, according to a report by Mercury News.
