Submitted by: City of Pleasanton

The City of Pleasanton will host its first community workshop for a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan.  The workshop will be held at the Veterans Memorial Building, located at 301 Main Street on Monday, October 22, 2012, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The first workshop will focus on the community’s characteristics, recreation programs, trends and issues, and the role of parks and recreation in Pleasanton.

The Parks and Recreation Master Plan is intended as a planning tool that will aid the City Council and staff in planning for recreational needs and activities. As such, it will summarize themes and trends, identify community priorities, assess available resources, review existing and anticipated demographic conditions and provide strategies for parks, recreation programs and open space needs.
