The Pleasanton Parks and Recreation Commission is meeting Thursday night 9/10/15 at 7PM to vote on the Veterans Memorial for the Pioneer Cemetery.
The Pleasanton Veterans Community, along with other members of the community have responded to the Master Plan for the historic Pioneer Cemetery with a Veteran’s Memorial to honor those who have served our country in the services and have been laid to rest there. There are about 540 veterans buried there, who have served in every major conflict as far back as the Civil War.
The goal is to provide a place to be able to go and reflect and remember those who have served our country. They have been working hard on this for about a year.
