Pleasanton Pursuit Ends In Brentwood

PLEASANTON, CA — A Brentwood man was arrested Thursday following a pursuit that started in Pleasanton and ended in Contra Costa County, police officials said. The wild chase started after officers on patrol in Pleasanton tried to stop a Chevrolet Camaro for an equipment violation.

The driver, later identified as 27-year-old Jesus Oropeza, took off and lead officers on a pursuit through Pleasanton, Livermore and into Contra Costa County. The California Highway Patrol and Brentwood police took over the chase. Oropeza was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges and is being held at the Santa Rita County Jail on $90,000.00 bail.
