Pleasanton's Injured Owl Released Back Into The Wild
The owl was found hurt, dangling from a street light last month in Pleasanton. Now, it's returned home.
PLEASANTON, CA — An owl found injured in Pleasanton after getting entangled in a kite string has returned to the skies, Pleasanton police said.
The adorable bird became ensnared in a kite string hanging from a street light and hurt itself. It was discovered early in the morning of Aug. 11, hanging midair over Paseo Del Cajon.

Firefighters freed the owl and turned it over to Lindsay Wildlife Experience, which has set the bird free.
The bird sqwuaked as an LWE employee held out her arm, encouraging the bird to fly free.

And fly it did, weeks after the unfortunate encounter with the kite string.
