Police Looking for a Man Who Grabbed a Pleasanton Woman

Pleasanton police are continuing to investigate the incident, which occured on Andrews Drive by Valley Care Health System. They say the man's motives remain unclear.

Pleasanton police are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred June 8 involving a man who grabbed a Pleasanton woman.

At 8 a.m. a woman was walking on Andrews Drive near Valley Care Health System when a black four-door vehicle pulled up. Thinking the driver might need directions, the woman approached the car. 

The driver then got out and grabbed the woman's arm, according to a police statement. The woman told police she pushed the man away with her left arm and yelled, "Stop."

The man returned to the vehicle and fled from the area. His motive is still unclear. The Pleasanton woman was uninjured.

Police described the man as a black male, between the ages 25 to 30, approximately 6 feet tall and between 200 to 230 pounds. The man wore a black "Do-Rag," a white t-shirt and had a thick, muscular build.

The vehicle is described as an early 1990s model with a dirty grey interior.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 925-931-5100.

Police are also reminding residents to be aware of their surroundings and to refrain from approaching unfamiliar persons or vehicles.
