Power Restored To 1,400 Pleasanton Customers Hours After Crash

Officials said a car hit a power pole.

PLEASANTON, CA — Police are investigating a collision, which prompted a large power outage, in the area of Vineyard and Bernal avenues Wednesday evening. The crash was reported at about 5:13 p.m., police said.

Investigators said a car hit a power pole, which cut to the power to 1,470 Pleasanton customers, according to PG&E. Crews responded to repair the damage.

PG&E estimated that the electricity would be restored by about 11:30 p.m. Vineyard Avenue was closed for several hours for the investigation. No other information is available.
