Power Outage Affects 7000 Homes, Businesses in Pleasanton
The power outage was due to broken equipment at a local substation.
About 7000 homes and businesses in Pleasanton lost power early Sunday morning.
The outage was reported at 8:25 a.m. Jana Morris, spokesperson for PG&E, said a piece of equipment failed at a local substation.
Power was restored at around 9:51 a.m. Businesses in the Rose Pavillion and surrounding areas were open by 10 a.m.

"We were able to identify the problem," she said. "Our priority was to get customers' power back on."
Morris said the reason for the failure is still under investigation.
