Sick Students Asked To Stay Home As Coronavirus Fears Escalate

Pleasanton Unified School District sent home a letter to the campus community Tuesday to say the district is preparing for potential spread.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton Unified School District issued a memo Tuesday addressing sick kids and preparations in the event that the new coronavirus impacts district operations, as additional cases of coronavirus are diagnosed in California and in the United States.

PUSD said it is planning for short- and long-term plans to address and limit the potential spread of the virus. The district is working in coordination with the city.

The district also asked students or staff who have symptoms of illness to stay home from school and seek medical help.
