Berkeley singer-songwriter Steve Taylor-Ramírez is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter from Berkeley, CA. Named a “Critic’s Choice” by the East Bay Express, Bay Area News Group, and UC Berkeley, he plays a mix of Folk, Latin and Blues. His music has aired on many Bay Area radio stations, and he appeared live on NPR’s KALW, as well as Pirate Cat Radio. A reviewer at the Easy Bay Express said that Taylor-Ramírez is widely known for his “fancy finger picking, weathered vocals…charisma…[and] socially conscious originals.” That should come as no surprise, as his great grandfather, Ignacio Ramírez, served as an education official for Mexico’s reformist president Francisco I. Madero.
